About Kadir Banabak

I was born in 1965 in Kocaeli.
I completed my primary, secondary and high school education in Bakırköy, Istanbul.
My passion for cinema in high school brought me closer to photography in the future.
In the 90s, I started to improve myself by attending courses under the roof of KASK (Kocaeli Photography Art Association), and when I started to win awards by participating in competitions especially in black and white photography, I suddenly found myself in the world of photography.

After 92, after the successes I won in the national competitions I participated in, I entered the academy exams with the desire to study photography and won the Department of Photography at Mimar Sinan University Faculty of Fine Arts in 1996.
During my student years, I worked as a show and visual director in various magazines, in the music world and in Bodrum Halicarnassus Disco for 3 years during the summer months.

In 2000, after graduating from the Department of Photography, in September of the same year, I started working for my advertising agency named 2MK in Taksim.
I founded LOOK AT ME ART PHOTOGRAPHY.

In my photography works, I shoot interior and exterior shots especially in architecture and industry, as well as cover and music video shoots in the music world, and in the textile world.
I shot especially home textiles and fashion.
I also shot promotional films in sectoral areas.

Especially after the 2008 economic crisis, I turned my work into more boutique works and developed myself in 3D Modeling and Animation works especially for the construction and TV sector and I still continue to serve the same sector primarily today.

After 2010, I started to travel to the cities of the world with the desire to photograph 50 countries, so far I have completed traveling to about 20 countries starting from the Middle East, covering Asia, Europe and the British continent.

In the last five years, I was also the Corporate Communications Director of Symbol Shopping and Life Center Project, the largest project in Kocaeli province,
Since September 2016, I returned to Istanbul and started my own studio.

As a Photography Artist, I have won 8 awards in various competitions, opened 4 solo exhibitions and participated in nearly 50 joint exhibitions.
